About

This modpack focuses on Complementary Shaders and Distant Horizons for extended render distance.
It adds a curated set of performance, visual and quality of life mods (map, HUD, voice chat, VR/controller support) while keeping vanilla gameplay and full compatibility with unmodded survival servers.
It is tuned for HeXHub.net, but works on most vanilla and Paper-based survival servers.

Core intent

  • Complementary Shaders by EminGT enabled and preconfigured.
  • Distant Horizons for long-range terrain.
  • Only client-side visuals, performance tweaks and UI/QoL features, no gameplay changes.
  • Helper mods such as the minimap are preconfigured for fair play, avoiding xray-like cave view, mob radar or similar unfair information.
  • No freecam-style spectator mods included.

Settings policy

  • Preconfigured: graphics, shaders, map and a few utility mods (per edition), so everything works out of the box without unfair advantages.
  • Keybinds: only cleaned up to resolve conflicts between mods. Important vanilla and core mod keys keep their usual positions, less important mod keys are moved or unbound.
  • Other options such as sound, mouse and general gameplay settings stay close to vanilla defaults.
  • Your Options Shall Be Respected (YOSBR) keeps your own settings on updates. Pack defaults are only applied on fresh installs or when a mod is added and its config does not exist yet.

Enhanced Edition

Graphics are set as high as they look noticeably better without unnecessary performance cost.
Tested on a PC with Ryzen 7900X, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM.

Other Editions

  • Potato – optimized for very weak PCs and laptops.
    Tested on a notebook with i7-7200U and 8 GB RAM.

  • Handheld – tuned for entry-level gaming PCs and handhelds.
    Tested on Steam Deck OLED.

Current status

Alpha. Active development, frequent updates, possible issues. Feedback via Discord is welcome.

Licenses and attribution

Third-party mods and resources remain under their original licenses. No relicensing of third-party files is performed.
